This project originated out of an interest and probable need for sourcing products for the mass consumer and professional markets from the United States of America. In other words, “can I buy the things I use everyday from U.S. makers?”.
There is, in most instances and almost anywhere in the world, an ability to procure something at potentially unlimited cost. However, there is a big difference between bespoke items made at great expense and time delay and manufactured goods held in inventory at reasonable prices available to the end user. In most cases the custom products or extremely luxury priced items are excluded, as they are not truly serving the needs of a common shopper.
A slow process was initiated to find both the makers and distributors/retailers of such items. This site is currently the best way to present that information.
